DAZN, a sports streaming service, announced Wednesday that it has reached an agreement to acquire EverPass Media. The acquisition is intended to merge DAZN's existing sports content library with EverPass’s technology and distribution infrastructure within the United States. While the deal has been finalized, the financial terms were not publicly disclosed.
EverPass Media was established in 2023 through a partnership between RedBird Capital Partners and 32 Equity, which serves as the strategic investment arm of the National Football League (NFL). The company specializes in commercial distribution, holding exclusive rights to provide NFL Sunday Ticket to bars, restaurants, and other business establishments.
Following the completion of the transaction, EverPass will be rebranded as DAZN for Business. Alex Kaplan, the current CEO of EverPass, is slated to remain in his leadership role for the new division. As part of the acquisition agreement, RedBird Capital Partners, 32 Equity, and TKO Group Holdings will transition into minority shareholders of DAZN.
The scale of the deal is reflected in the breadth of content involved. In addition to the NFL, EverPass manages distribution for major leagues and organizations including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, MLB, NBA, WNBA, NWSL, and NASCAR. It also maintains partnerships with large-scale streaming and media entities such as Peacock, Netflix, Paramount, and Apple. The reach of this network was expanded as recently as last month when EverPass and DIRECTV reached a joint agreement to distribute NFL Sunday Ticket to commercial venues via both satellite and streaming services.
For the broader sports media market, the deal integrates a specialized commercial distribution platform with a global streaming entity. DAZN Group CEO Shay Segev stated the acquisition provides the company with established U.S. venue relationships and a portfolio of premium media rights. The move creates a consolidated path for commercial venues to access multiple professional sports leagues through a single provider. The next steps in the process involve the official rebranding and the integration of DAZN's content into the EverPass platform, though specific effective dates for these changes were not reported.
