HBO has confirmed that Kit Harington will join the cast of the upcoming Harry Potter television series as Gilderoy Lockhart. Harington replaces Nicholas Hoult, who withdrew from the project due to a scheduling conflict that prevented him from filming the second season.
The casting marks Harington’s third collaboration with HBO, following his roles in the fantasy series Game of Thrones and the financial drama Industry.
