U.S. officials reported that nearly 100 American service members have sustained injuries following a series of Iranian airstrikes on military bases in the Middle East this month. According to Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell, 96% of the affected personnel have since returned to duty.
The injuries were recorded during strikes occurring since July 7, 2026. Parnell stated in a briefing that the vast majority of the injuries were classified as minor concussions. The statement indicated that most service members were able to resume their roles shortly after medical evaluation.
The report follows previous confirmations of U.S. casualties in the region, including an attack on a base in Jordan that resulted in two deaths and one service member remaining missing. The Pentagon did not provide a specific breakdown of locations for all of the nearly 100 injuries reported in this latest update.
