Ken Urker, the 34-year-old partner of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, was found dead at a residence in Louisiana on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies responded to a home in Raceland at approximately 6:15 p.m. and discovered Urker, whom the agency identified as Kenan Urker, dead.
Urker and Blanchard share a daughter named Aurora. The two initially connected while Blanchard was serving a 10-year prison sentence for her role in the 2015 murder of her mother, Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard. Though they were previously engaged in 2018, the couple resumed their relationship in 2024 following Blanchard’s separation from her husband at the time, Ryan Anderson.
The Lafourche Sheriff's Office stated that an investigation into the death is underway, though officials have not confirmed a cause of death. In a statement to People magazine, Blanchard said Urker died of an overdose. She further noted that Urker had recently been in a poor state of mind and had been subjected to cyberbullying and public scrutiny.
Blanchard was released from prison in December 2023 after serving seven years for her involvement in her mother's death. Blanchard’s history of medical child abuse, described by attorneys as Munchausen syndrome by proxy, has been the subject of multiple documentary series.
Blanchard specifically attributed Urker’s mental state to online harassment. While Blanchard has stated the cause was an overdose, the sheriff's office has not yet confirmed this claim. No specific dates for the conclusion of the investigation or memorial services have been reported.
