Upon arrival, the 26 players and coaching staff met with members of the Spanish royal family and Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez at the Moncloa Palace. Sánchez thanked the team for their performance and effort during the tournament. Following the official reception, the squad traveled through the city on an open-top bus to Cibeles Square.
At Cibeles Square, approximately 120,000 supporters attended a ceremony where players were introduced individually. The event featured musical performances and the presentation of the World Cup trophy. Authorities reported that temperatures reached 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) during the festivities.
Spain secured the title on Sunday through an extra-time goal by Ferran Torres. This victory marks Spain's second World Cup championship, with their previous title won in 2010. The 2026 tournament was co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
