The site was already known to the Detroit Police Department, which had received seven calls for service at that specific address earlier this year.
The three deceased victims were males described by police as approximately 30 years old and up. Four others—two men and two women—suffered injuries that were not life-threatening and were transported to local hospitals in private vehicles. Authorities believe all individuals involved were in their 20s and 30s. While police stated they have leads in the case, no arrests were immediately announced.
Detroit residents will notice a presence from the Office of Neighborhood and Community Safety, which Mayor Mary Sheffield said would provide "wraparound services" to those impacted.
