The incident was captured on a resident's home security camera after the bird, a white-feathered male named Sugar, followed the worker toward his mail truck. Local residents reported the matter to authorities after observing the bird appearing disoriented and unable to eat or drink.
The peacock was taken to the Pasadena Humane Wildlife Center for medical evaluation and observation. A veterinarian examined the animal and found minor swelling at the site of the impact, but no broken bones were detected.
