In brief
This bill requires the President to designate Ansarallah, the Iran-backed movement in Yemen commonly known as the Houthis, as a foreign terrorist organization. The President must also identify and report to Congress any foreign persons determined to be officials, agents, or affiliates of Ansarallah to facilitate the imposition of sanctions. These measures would apply to the group's international financial interests and associated individuals.
